"...For Advisors"By David PoulosFebruary 4, 2020

“I want our conversations to be about me. I’m the client here. How does this play out on a practical level? So can you imagine, you go to a therapist, you’ve never been to a therapist before but you’ve got a big problem that’s driving you into that therapist’s office. You sit down and how…

Episode 15: Kelly Wright on Tax Planning for the Benefit of Clients

"...For Advisors"By David PoulosJanuary 7, 2020

“I’ll give you an example. The standard deduction has increased for a married couple to $24,000. However, in Maryland, the state deduction is only $5,000. So if you itemize on your federal return, that is the only way you’re allowed to itemize on your state return. As a result, people who are not itemizing federally…

Episode 14: John Hill CFP® on Working With Physicians As Clients

"...For Advisors"By David PoulosDecember 17, 2019

“Well, I talked specifically about the idea that it was very difficult to build equity initially in a sole practice model. It was just not heard of. Episode 12: Ginny Hudgens on Strategic Planning for Advisory Firms

"...For Advisors"By David PoulosDecember 3, 2019

“ . . . I think interest has always been high [in strategic planning] for advisors who understand our value proposition and understand the need to have a plan. Episode 11: Dave Grant on a Roadmap to a Thriving RIA Practice

"...For Advisors"By David PoulosNovember 19, 2019

“A lot of it was content marketing. You know, as you start an RIA, you’ve got nothing but time on your hands if you’re starting from scratch with zero clients. So a lot of it was understanding what problems I am finding in my own situation and writing about it. Writing is almost a form…

Welcome to the podcast for,

and about,

Financial Advisors.

This podcast is designed and built just for independent advisors with AUM between $20 – $300M, with topics that advisors need information about every day, to run their practices. This is the only podcast built for advisors who feel that acting in the client’s best interest is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of client-centric business, client care, and ethical responsibility.

New episodes will be appearing here weekly, each on a different topic, each with a different guest (although we may invite some back, if you let us know how much you enjoyed hearing from them). Our goal is to bring you the best information available from a variety of sources in the advisor world, and some from outside that world, so you can put the latest and greatest information to work for you in developing your practice.

We’d like to hear from you as well. If you have comments, questions, or just want to say “howdy,” just drop us an e-mail at ForAdvisors@Pinnacleadvisory.com and we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.
